Research Group Description:
The Burke Laboratory is about the genetics and the study of mammalian aging.
The research effort in the laboratory is analyzing the genetic basis of normal mammalian aging using the laboratory mouse as model system. Three major projects are in progress:
An analysis of the stability of epigenetic gene inactivation over the lifespan
Quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis using aging as a complex, multigenic trait
Genetics and microfabrication engineering
It is located at the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Michigan Medical School
