Research Center Description:
As a core institution for research on geriatric medicine in Japan, the institute is committed to various research areas:
Clarification and control of the mechanisms of aging
Clarification of the underlying mechanisms of age-related disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis, and development of prevention/treatment methods
Development of measures to improve QOL in the elderly, and research on their ideal care; and development of support devices necessary for the life, medicine, care and nursing of the elderly
