Aging is the largest risk factor for disease in development countries. At the Buck Institute, researches from many disciplines work together under one roof to understand the aging process and its link to chronic disease. Both the physical and cultural environment supports the free flow of information and rapid scientific advancement. There are no departmental boundaries. Bureaucracy is kept to a minimum.
