ragc-1 RNAi

Species: Nematode (Taxid: 6239)
Factor: ragc-1
Manipulation: Loss-of-Function, Knockdown, RNA Interference
Effect:

ragc-1 RNAi only during adulthood increases mean, median and maximum lifespan by 13-33, 21 and 33-37% respectively, but failed so in skn-1 or daf-16 mutant (with and without FUdR). Interference with TORC1 by ragc-1 RNAi increases heat resistance in daf-16 and skn-1 mutants, but not not in skn-1;daf-16 double mutant. ragc-1 RNAi increases lifespan in a strain in which RNAi is restricted to the intestine (VP288). RNAi of ragc-1 decreases overall mRNA translation but increases autophagy (measured by LGG-1 puncta) [22560223].

Mean: +13 to +33
Median: +21
Maximum: +33 to +37
