High-temperature pulse (HTP)

Species: Nematode (Taxid: 6239)
Factor:
Manipulation:
Effect:

High-temperature pulse (HTP), an environmental stress that lowers enegery levels, extends lifespan and lowers fertility in an aak-2-dependent manner. 1-h-old wild-type adults exposed to an HTP of 35 degree Celsius for 2h live around 30% longer (mean +28; maximum +26). The same treatment dows not affect lifespan of aak-2(ok524) mutants [15574588].

Mean: +28
Maximum: +26
